Sports!

So the time has come, the fall sports schedule is over...the last games have been played and the trophies have been given out. What a great season we've had. Colin played Cesa Soccer for the first time and he loved it! His team was called the Black Bears (chosen by the kids) and I enjoyed watching him get better with each game. He finally ended up scoring a few goals tword the end of the season and was just thrilled with himself. The season went a lot smoother than baseball has in the past. I guess he's my little high energy, run like the wind kid!

Tripp played football this fall...yes, FULL CONTACT FOOTBALL... Who knew he was so tough? And why did he look like a 10 year old in his uniform? It was exciting to watch him (as I secretly held my breath hoping he wouldn't get hurt) and I was so proud of the way he really dug in and gave it his all. When they first put on those pads, there were kids that cried when they got hit, there was even one kid that decided not to play and quit the team, but not Tripp. He adapted and even excelled. But the end of the season, I couldn't believe what a transformation in him athletically and developmentally. He really has a new attitude and a little more self esteem. It was great for him. His team even went to the Super Bowl for 8 and under. We didn't win, but it sure was fun to play in the big game.

First Day of Second Grade!

Tripp was excited to start second grade this year. A few pictures I took this morning. I didn't feel like he cared if I took them, but since I was the only mom doing such foolishness in second grade, maybe next year I'll try not to totally embarass him with my need to take the "first day" pictures...or maybe not...

First Day of 4K!

Colin's first official day of 4K is today. I'm sure he is doing great. He was very excited to move up to Mrs. G-na's class. He went with a word of advice from his big brother (who also had Mrs. G-na for 4K) "Be Good, if you have a good day, you will get an M&M at the end of the day!" Priorities People!! Here's a couple cute photos of the big boy...

New Leaf

Ok, so I have not updated this in over a year..Tripp is now 7 years old, Colin is 4 and the sweet old Ally Dog is 12! We have been busy. Photos and updates to come shortly. Then I will try to do better. Enough said.

Happy 6th Birthday Tripp!

Today is Tripp's 6th Birthday! It is so hard to believe that he has grown into a "big kid" so quickly! I will post the full run down later, just wanted to make sure he made it to the blog on his big day! I love you Tripp!
